Private repositories on the Free plan

Until now the Free plan only took public repositories. That was a poor way to try a board: most teams keep their real work in private repositories, so the board you could build on Free wasn't the one you'd use.

Free now takes private repositories too.

What changed

Add a private repository on Free. Public or private, it counts the same towards Free's repository limit. Nothing else about the plan changed: the seat, account and repository limits and the sync interval are as they were. The pricing page has the current numbers.

No new permissions. Signing in with GitHub has always asked for access to your private repositories, and GitLab sign-in already reads the projects you can see. Nobody has to grant anything new.

The same checks as before. When you add a repository, GitGumbo still confirms that the account you connected can actually see it, on every plan.

Pro is still where the extras live, such as more repositories, faster sync, webhooks, Stats and the API. You no longer need it just to put your own code on a board.
