Search by issue or merge request number

Someone says "can you look at 412?" and until now the board's search box could only help if 412 happened to be in a title. It searched titles and nothing else.

Type a number now and the board finds cards by number too. The match starts from the left, the way you'd type it, so 41 finds #41, #412 and #4100, but not #341. Keep typing and the list narrows.

Merge requests and pull requests count too, written the way your provider writes them:

  • 412 finds issue #412, or any card with a linked merge request or pull request numbered 412.
  • #412 finds issue #412. On GitHub it also finds pull request #412, because GitHub writes both the same way.
  • !412 finds a linked merge request or pull request only, using GitLab's ! for merge requests.

The search box's hint shows the form for the board you're on: #issue or !MR on GitLab, #issue or #PR on GitHub.

As before, search looks at the cards the board has loaded and doesn't read labels or descriptions. A merge request drops off its card once it is merged or closed, so only open ones can be found this way.
