Your GitLab board, mirrored
If your team already arranges its work on a GitLab issue board, GitGumbo now shows that board. Every list becomes a column, in the same order, whether it is a label list, a status list, an assignee list or a milestone list. If a project has several boards, pick one from the board menu in the filter bar.
Moving a card does what moving it on GitLab's own board does:
- Into a label list: the label is swapped, or added if the card came from a different kind of list.
- Into an assignee list: that person is added to the issue.
- Into a milestone list: the milestone is set.
- Into a status list: the status is set.
To change the columns, change the lists on your GitLab board (Plan → Issue boards). GitGumbo follows. A project with no lists shows Open and Closed.
What to know
- GitLab only offers status, assignee and milestone lists on its Premium tier and above. On GitLab Free, your board is label lists.
- A card can now match two lists, say a label and an assignee. It shows in whichever sits furthest right, so occasionally it won't stay exactly where you dropped it. GitLab's board behaves the same way.
- On GitLab, the board is always a mirror. Renaming columns or grouping several labels into one column, as "Your columns" allows, is now for GitHub boards. WIP limits on a GitLab board come from each list's settings on GitLab.
This applies to GitLab projects on every GitGumbo plan.
